Jeezey Creezy, this is impossible. Do you know how many first lines I've written? How do people write blogs? I want you to read my books, not my diary- which is boring- and angsty.

So I'll stay on-task. Let's talk books— what I'm reading, what I'm looking forward to reading, and what I'm hoping you'll read (spoiler- it's my book).

Finding Honor, is the first book in my new adult, romance series called The Searchers. It's a reverse harem story. Yes. Reverse harem. It has smexy bits, and all those things that make a love story.

A glance.

A touch.

A kiss.

5 guys and a girl... so I guess that's where it gets a bit different.

In the next few days, I'll be posting the cover and blurb for Finding Honor. But in the meantime, in honor (see what I did there?) of the end of summer— here are other people's books that I loved reading this summer, along with a few I can't wait to read.

First- Sixpence and Whiskey, the first book in a series called Toil and Trouble, by Heather R. Blair.
Persephone is the daughter of Mother Goose, who isn't just an author, but a witch. As a teenager, Persephone fell in love with Jack Frost. But he dumped her, broke her heart, and disappeared.

Now he's back, and everywhere Persephone turns, there he is. Suddenly, magical creatures are gunning for her. Vampires, werewolves, were-bears who resemble hot Vikings, and my favorite, a shape-shifting lake monster! Heather R. Blair seamless weaves them into her story. I devoured this story. Link is below:) Oh yeah- and the second book, Blackbirds and Bourbon is out, and the third, Roses and Rye will be released in September!!!

The next series I recommend is Rebecca Royce's Wings of Artemis Series. The first two books in this series, Kidnapped by Her Husbands and Rescued by Their Wife, are out, and the third is coming! So this is a triple whammy, two out and one to look forward to!

Rebecca Royce is the master (mistress?) of science fiction and romance. Her world building rivals George Lucas,  JJ Abrams, or Joss Whedon. The main character of these two books, Melissa Alexander,  has lost her memory, which is super inconvenient because she's pregnant and on a planet where she's about to be married off to a stranger. I love this story so much. Rebecca completely immersed me in her futuristic world. And it's reverse harem, so... win!

The final book I'm looking forward to reading—Lyn Forester's Beneath a Holo-Sky- the first book in her Poison World series. This new series is a science fiction/mystery. Reagan Thorpe is a private investigator hired by the mob to discover who is distributing a poisonous drug called Ash. They give her a partner, an always-hungry, ridiculously good-looking, heart-of-gold mob man, who drives her out of her mind.  No link on this one yet- but follow Lyn Forester on Facebook for all the updates!!!!

That's it, I guess. Proserpina out.

  1. I can't wait for it to come out. I'm so excited for you, Ripley! <3 Megan

  2. Sounds like a great book! Happy Halloween.
